Principal's Messages

St. Gabriel the Archangel warmly welcomes Junior High and Senior High students and their families to an inclusive learning community. Our school vision celebrates diversity and centers student learning within a faith-filled educational environment. Our school community encourages staff, students, and families to seek the example of Christ as our model of Catholic teaching and learning. Together we strive to live with extraordinary respect as we promote leadership qualities within our caring learning environment. We will make every effort to assist you with the transition to our school community and join us as we Create Calgary Catholic Together.

We will use our monthly newsletter, D2L/Brightspace, and School Connects as opportunities to inform you about what’s happening at St. Gabriel. We will also provide you with informative articles, helpful hints, and community news – especially from our Parish – St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish Website.  At the beginning of every month, you will find our newsletters online on the school website. Please bookmark our school webpage at your earliest convenience. St. Gabriel The Archangel School Website

Please ensure you complete the paperless communication sheet with your email address information. This form will be sent home in our opening day package. Having an updated email address will ensure you are informed through monthly newsletters and other electronic communication.  Open and transparent dialogue between home and school is the foundation of success for all students.

While the past eighteen months have provided many challenges in education, we remain committed to offering the best in teaching and learning for our students regardless of the delivery method.  It is our hope that students also remain committed to doing their best and we will make every effort to provide any support that is required. Though we can not predict what the next school year will look like, we know that we will be able to navigate it with success as a community guided by faith.

We look forward to working in partnership with you as we continue to build our school community together. Please feel free to contact the school to discuss any matters that affect your child’s education or possible ways that you may support the school in attaining our goals.  I wish you and your children much joy and am happy to welcome everyone to St. Gabriel the Archangel, a school founded on Extraordinary Respect.
