Our Patron Saint: St. Gabriel the Archangel

St. Gabriel is an angel who serves as a messenger for God.  He is one of the three archangels. St. Gabriel announced the good news to the Mother of God saying, "Mary, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Luke 1:28.

St. Gabriel then comforted the young Mary who was at first frightened by his presence saying:
"Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom, there shall be no end." Luke 1:30-33.

We celebrate the attributes of our patron saint, St. Gabriel, which includes spreading the Good News, honoring family and confidently walking the path of God as a community of extraordinary respect.  His feast day is celebrated on September 29 along with St. Michael and St. Raphael.
